Privacy Code Notice of Collection
Given the Privacy Code was updated in February 2026, Skate Canada reminds clubs and schools that the Notice of Collection at the back of the Privacy Code must be signed by all registrants to acknowledge and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by Skate Canada and that they acknowledge and agree to comply with our Privacy Code. We highly recommend that clubs and schools have all registrants (new and returning) sign the Notice of Collection every year.
If the registrant is under the age of majority in your province or territory, a parent or guardian signs the Notice. If the registrant is of the age of majority, then the registrant signs the Notice.
A couple other reminders for the collection process:
– Clubs and schools may collect this information in paper hardcopy form or electronic form as long as the electronic form explicitly acknowledges the Skate Canada Privacy Code as written below:
– For Clubs and schools using Uplifter, you may collect an e-signature as long as it explicitly acknowledges the Skate Canada Privacy Code as written below:
“I hereby confirm that I have received and read the Skate Canada Privacy Code (“Privacy Code”) and will retain a copy for my files. I consent to the collection, disclosure, use/sharing, and retention with Skate Canada as outlined in the Privacy Code, and accept the terms of the Privacy Code, and agree to comply with and be bound by the Privacy Code.”
Provincial/Territorial Taxes
Please note that taxes in your jurisdiction may have changed. Any changes will be reflected in the club, school and coach registration fees.
Find a Club Feature
Remember that for your club or skating school to be displayed within the Find a Club feature a club/school needs to have current activity lists in the Membership Site under Organization Management > Manage Programs & Registrants. All applicable activity lists must be updated for the current season, ensuring that the end date is a date in the future and that “Promote this activity using Find a Club” is set to YES.
Club and Skating School Operating Requirements
All clubs and skating schools must comply with the Club and Skating School Operating Requirements. Please ensure all your Club Board Members, School Owners and Administrators review these requirements. These requirements have been developed to enhance the standards and experience across all Skate Canada clubs and skating schools and you can find the requirements in the Info Centre here.
Club and Skating School Operations Guide
The Club and Skating School Operations Guide is available under Guides on the Info Centre here. This document is a valuable resource for club board members and staff and skating school administrators so review this guide and reference it regularly for important operating information.
