For the 2021-2022 season only:
- The Novice synchronized skating category will be permitted an over-age extension. ¼ of the team must not have reached the age of 16 by July 1st preceding the competition.
- The Intermediate synchronized skating category will be permitted an over-age extension. ¼ of the team must not have reached the age of 20 by July 1st preceding the competition.
- As per ISU Communication 2380, the Junior upper age limit has been extended by a year. Junior age extensions will be considered for athletes who competed on a Junior team during the 2019-2020 season, or the 2020-2021 season had it occurred.
