Teams now must submit their own selection of music for Competitive Pattern Dance Competition. For Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile, this music must be chosen from Skate Canada Series 8 or the Skate Canada Contemporary Music selections. For Pre-Novice and Novice teams must choose from the ISU Pattern Dance music selections or choose music that meets tempo specifications for that Pattern Dance. Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile

General for Pre-Novice and Novice: if a team is submitting music other than an ISU selection, the tempo throughout the required sequences must be constant and in accordance with the required tempo of the pattern dance plus or minus 2 beats per minute (for dances with 4/4 timing) and plus or minus 3 beats per minute for waltz rhythms.
