Skate Canada has officially integrated the Advanced Coaching Diploma (ACD) into its NCCP pathway, providing a key development opportunity for Podium Pathway Coaches working with Junior and/or Senior athletes or teams.
Designed for coaches who aspire to make coaching their full-time career, the ACD offers access to cutting-edge knowledge and the chance to collaborate with high-performing coaches, mentors, and content experts across Canada. Applicants must be NCCP National Certified and actively coaching athletes at the Train to Compete or Train to Win stages.
This one-year program bridges the gap beyond the National Coach pathway, allowing coaches to enhance their competencies, apply learnings in their specific coaching context, and deliver safe, effective, and high-performance sport programs.
Graduation from the ACD signals to the sport community and the broader coaching field that a coach has demonstrated the ability to lead, problem-solve, engage collaboratively, and critically reflect to implement successful sport programming.
